Smoothies are the way to go
For a quick, cheap and easy meal the raw smoothie has to be the answer.
A brilliant breakfast or a snack during the day, it provides the body with easily digested nutrients that keep the blood sugar levels regulated.
The easiest has to be a banana and strawberries blended with a glass of water, so easy and loved by almost everyone!
Even better for you, though slightly less attractive being green, is a large handful of baby spinach leaves and a couple of peeled lemons blended with water to cover, then sweetened with a little honey or a couple of soaked dates to taste.
Jane's favourite has to be a couple of peeled oranges with half a peeled mango (though this is for special occasions as we live in the UK and mangoes don't grow here!) and a little water if necessary.
For a more nutrient rich drink use a nut milk base but if you are calorie watching stick to the water.
Smoothies are really only limited by your imagination - and the contents of the fridge or fruit bowl...
